    Silver Metal Clay feels like a dense, heavy clay, but is actually minute particles of silver mixed with water and a cellulose based binder.  Friday evening, we will explore all manner of textures, found objects, commercial materials, and plan our launch into using the malleable silver clay on day 2.

    You are invited to the gallery at the Elora Centre for the Arts to meet the Octarine artists as they launch their new exhibition 'Everything Connected'. The Octarine Women Artists’ Collective (OWAC), founded in 2013, is a group of 8 artists, living in Centre Wellington, working in various media who exhibit together.  The OWAC members are Judy French (oil), Carol Hughes (watercolour), Kim Johnston (watermedia and oils), Dianne Kennedy Cruttenden (weaving,textiles) , Jean Loney (in memory, glass mosaic),  Gail Root (oils and chalk pastel) , M.     ‘The Secret Garden’ outdoor summer series presented by Elora Community Theatre

    Enjoy outdoor live theatre in the yard at the Elora Centre for the Arts!  Presented by Elora Community Theatre The Secret Garden, a children’s novel by British author Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published in 1910 as a magazine serial and a year later as a novel, focuses on a headstrong young girl sent to live with her uncle after losing her parents to cholera in India. She meets her sickly cousin, Colin, and clashes with the boy, but they eventually bond after discovering a secret garden in the manor, locked behind a gate. Together with a local boy, they transform the garden and become close friends, transforming each other in the process. Please bring your own chair or blanket to the performance.

    Supportive Arts Program for Young Adults with (dis)Abilities – Fall 2022 to Spring 2023

    An inclusive, all abilities art and mindfulness workshop for young adults with (dis)abilities 18+

    SUPPORTIVE ARTS is a unique program supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, offering arts-based learning opportunities and compelling artistic experiences to individuals with (dis)abilities living in the community. We welcome adults and caregivers from Wellington County and the surrounding areas to our weekly program. Led by ECFTA Arts Educators and Mindfulness Coaches.  The Supportive Arts program has now expanded to 4 sessions per week.

    THE PROGRAM: Join us for a guided 2-hour workshop, specifically designed to support adults of all abilities. Each session, we will embrace diversity and friendship through explorations in art making, movement, mindfulness and music. Every week is as unique as each of our participants!  Supportive Arts is offered free of charge to all participants and support companions, thanks to the generous support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
