In this Saturday afternoon workshop, let your kiddos try their hand at bold expressive painting in a BIG format!
Big canvas, big brushes and big colour! Led by artist Natalie McDonald, young artists will work at easels, while listening and responding to a diverse selection of music and learn about colour theory, composition, working with acrylics, building layers and mark-making to create a big, bold contemporary abstract canvas, filled with fresh bubble gum colours!

Price for this workshop Includes an approx. 24”x36” (depending on availability), ready for your bedroom or a wall in your home!
All materials and guided instruction included.
Natalie McDonald is an artist currently living and working in Fergus, Ontario. She studied at SDVA Georgian College in Barrie, ON and NSCAD University in Halifax, NS to complete her BFA degree, and more recently the University of Calgary for her MFA degree. Currently McDonald is an Instructor at the Dundas Valley School of Art and Education Coordinator for the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery. As a representational painter and mixed media artist, Natalie creates work focused on the concept of time, memory and transformation. Often inspired by her own past experiences she creates experiences that parallel others memories and creates a space for remembrance and contemplation.
Health & Safety
To ensure the health and safety of staff and participants, daily cleaning and masking will be in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Participants will be asked to complete a COVID-19 Liability Waiver.
