Share some art-love with our furry friends in this playful afternoon of mixed media exploration and collage with artist Eileen MacArthur! Inspired by the Neo-Expressionist work of American pop-culture icon Jean-Michel Basquiat, we will be using a variety of materials and approaches to explore how artists convey emotions and ideas. This workshop is all about using an abstract painting approach and getting a little messy! No experience necessary!

Join Tapestry artist Dianne Kennedy Cruttenden and broaden your weaving techniques in this playful full-day workshop of tapestry explorations! Designing for Tapestry is for those with some experience with weaving. Dianne will encourage you to think like a weaver through the exploration of the elements of design in tapestry and will guide you through the intricacies of translating a design to weave. Bring your sense of adventure and meet some new fibre loving friends!

Join artist Eileen MacArthur for an introduction to painting a botanical still life using acrylics. Looking at the works of Dutch masters for inspiration, students will learn about paint handling, value, composition, colour mixing, and creating shape and drama.
Eileen will also discuss glazing and how to unify paintings and create strong focal points. Students will go home with an 8×10 painting detail of a Dutch Still Life botanical.
