The Schoolhouse Arts Collective

The Schoolhouse Arts Collective (SHAC) studio and gallery is located inside the Elora Centre for the Arts building – the historic 1856 Elora Public School on Melville Street, just a short walk from downtown Elora.

SHAC was founded in 2017 by five local artists who had a vision of creating a unique space for like-minded artists to come together– a place where emerging, self-taught and professional artists could work and grow as part of a supportive and inspiring group.

The Schoolhouse Arts Collective has developed into the largest arts collective in the area – a curated group of over 20 artists, working in diverse mediums including watercolour, acrylic and oil painting, encaustic, sculpture and textile arts.
