Re-energize, re-fresh or start from the ground up with acrylics! Explore the versatile effects of acrylic paints and mediums during this one-day workshop with artist Natalie McDonald. You will be introduced to a variety of acrylic mediums and tools to discover and develop additional skills and techniques to apply in your studio practice.

Natalie will help you apply what you have learned by creating a small acrylic study and by the end of the day, you will leave with a better understanding of the different mediums and products available, and the results that acrylics can provide!

All materials provided.   Please note: there is a $10 kit fee, payable in cash to the instructor at the start of class..

About the Instructor:

Natalie McDonald is an artist currently living and working in Fergus, Ontario. She studied at SDVA Georgian College in Barrie, ON and NSCAD University in Halifax, NS to complete her BFA degree, and more recently the University of Calgary for her MFA degree. As a representational painter and mixed media artist, Natalie creates work focused on the concept of time, memory and transformation. Often inspired by her own past experiences she creates experiences that parallel others memories and creates a space for remembrance and contemplation.

Natalie has exhibited widely since the early 2000s, with solo exhibitions at TRUCK Contemporary Art, Little Gallery, Gallery 621, Latitude 53, Mezzanine Gallery, Arts Commons, EPCOR Centre, Anna Leonownes Gallery and numerous group exhibitions across Canada.
