 Campers! Recycle, Upcycle and Go Green this July as we gather together in our cheery studio classroom and out in the great outdoors for fresh-air creativity and fun designed to bring out the Friend of the Planet in you! Each day will be filled with eco-inspired creativity. Make a recycled jean bag with blanket stitching, upcycled T shirts, story stones, nature crafting and free-range play perfect for a hot July week!

Led by artist and educator Carolyn McLeod of Creative Spark Workshops in Guelph with the support of student leaders from the Canada Summer Jobs Youth Program.

This is an indoor-outdoor, get messy day camp, so come prepared for a great day!

  • Dress for the mess and for the weather
  • Sunscreen or a hat
  • Refillable water bottle
  • A mid-morning snack and healthy lunch

 About the Instructor:

Carolyn McLeod is a graphic design professional, illustrator, fine artist and college instructor. Carolyn has applied her skills in both traditional art and in digital form for over 20 years. Carolyn runs Creative Spark Workshops in Guelph and loves getting creative with kids!  Carolyn is also a part-time instructor at Conestoga College teaching in the areas of Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Internet Marketing, Social Media Marketing and New Business Ventures. Outside of her teaching profession, she loves to create, write, network and socialize and is always working on new projects from refinishing furniture, creating wire wrapped jewellery, illustrating for web and print design, and continues to do consulting work and freelance in Graphic Design, illustration, Marketing and New Ventures consulting. Carolyn comes by her love of all things artistic quite honestly.

 

Health & Safety

To ensure the health and safety of all our campers, daily cleaning and masking will be in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Parents will be asked to complete a COVID-19 Liability Waiver.

If classes are cancelled for any reason due to Public Health concerns, refunds will be given in full.
