    You’ve seen these big squishy blankets on Instagram, now here’s your chance to make your own! Come join us for this beginner-friendly workshop!

    Martina from The Blanket Babes will teach you everything that you need to know from casting on to finishing your blanket. No needles or knitting experience is required and all supplies will be provided. The entire project will be finished in 3 hours. All you have to do is choose your blanket colour and show up ready to learn the art of hand-knitting! The blanket size will be approximately 45" x 55".

    ‘The Secret Garden’ outdoor summer series presented by Elora Community Theatre

    Enjoy outdoor live theatre in the yard at the Elora Centre for the Arts!  Presented by Elora Community Theatre The Secret Garden, a children’s novel by British author Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published in 1910 as a magazine serial and a year later as a novel, focuses on a headstrong young girl sent to live with her uncle after losing her parents to cholera in India. She meets her sickly cousin, Colin, and clashes with the boy, but they eventually bond after discovering a secret garden in the manor, locked behind a gate. Together with a local boy, they transform the garden and become close friends, transforming each other in the process. Please bring your own chair or blanket to the performance.

Each day will be filled with eco-inspired creativity. Make a recycled jean bag with blanket stitching, upcycled T shirts, story stones, nature crafting and free-range play perfect for a hot July week!

    Enjoy outdoor live theatre in Bissell Park!  Presented by Elora Community Theatre About the Show: written between 1590 and 1592, Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew is a comedy about the unconventional marriage between Petruchio and Katherine.     This camp is designed to bring out the musician + artist in you! Don’t worry about knowing your way around a melody. By the end of the week, musician and educator Carolyn McLeod will have you playing a tune and creating some harmonious art to accompany it!

    Let music inspire your choice of colours & style for a musical painting, learn to write an original song and then add a melody & beat, explore ways to make music with every-day objects, create a box drum and rubber band guitar, experiment with water glass chimes, and art-up your own unique instruments. Who said music theory was boring? Not us!
