Please note, there will be no class on Halloween, Thursday, Oct 31. This week, class will be held on Wednesday, Oct 30. OPEN STUDIO with artist Eileen MacArthur is designed for artists who have some experience and would like specific guidance to develop or resolve their artwork. All mediums are welcome in this collaborative and friendly Thursday evening series!

Young artists will learn how to draw from observation and how to translate what we see into drawing. Led by artist Eileen MacArthur, Eileen will guide the class in learning about line, value, and balance in composition. Artists will be experimenting with various wet and dry drawing material including graphite, charcoal, ink and watercolour.

Interspersed with stories of  the 138 artists she interviewed, Janice shares her own journey to become an artist as well as the research she did into art and aging.  While written with older artists in mind, this is an inspiring book about creativity for all ages and all mediums, whether music, writing, painting, or poetry.
