Join artist Rick Worthington for this beginner to intermediate oil painting workshop! Rick will guide you in creating a master copy of A.J. Casson’s 1929 oil painting, The Elora Mill. A member of the Group of Seven, Casson found endless inspiration within the villages of Elora and Salem, and so will we!
Copying a master’s work was, and still is, one of the best ways to learn. You will explore essential techniques such as composition, value, colour, edges, along with paint and surface manipulation. With solid individual guidance and demonstrations provided, you’ll gain valuable skills to enhance your painting practice.
Please note, $25 kit fee payable in cash to Rick at the start of class. All materials are included in the kit fee. Kit fee includes oil paint, a canvas, odourless solvent, reference image, laminated grey scale, brushes etc.
