ABSTRACT PAINTING – CREATIVE ADVENTURES WORKSHOP

Join us on a Creative Adventure and step into play, where we take you a journey of discovery!
These retreats welcomes all creative spirits.
Creative Adventures is designed specifically for non-artists – no experience required – just a willingness to be open-minded and embrace play! Our goal is not to teach you to be a painter but rather, to expose you to a number of different creative activities that allow you to figure out what really sparks your interest. It is about play, experimentation and getting your hands messy. Remember what it felt like to do art classes as a child? We want to reintroduce you to that enthusiastic experience trading “perfection” for movement and guided creative freedom!
Abstract Painting
Abstract art uses a visual language of shape, form, colour and line that can be inspired by something specific but is not representational. It relies heavily on emotion and composition to hold together. Working with a palette knife, Kate will teach techniques and play, using the woodgrain as a key component.
At the end of each day, celebrate your creative achievements with new friends and take home your masterpiece and treasured memories.

All you need to do is get yourself there!
Everything you need will be ready for you including all artist grade supplies for the workshop. We start the morning with creativity exercises and then move into embracing the painting medium of the day. Additional techniques are introduced throughout the afternoon.
Each guest will work on a 6″x6″ panel, an 8″x8 panel and multiple ‘postcards” studies.
Refreshments, continental breakfast and light lunch provided throughout the day.
COST
$375 + HST or $600 + HST if you register for both Encaustic and Abstract Painting Creative Adventure Workshops – a savings of $150
Etransfer payment is preferred. If paying with a credit card a small 2.5% service fee will be added to the cost.

Simply email Angela and Kate at Creative Adventures: creativeadventuresevents@gmail.com indicating the workshop(s) you would like to attend. We will send you an email confirming your booking and invoice.
Minimum registration required to host event. In the unlikely event that we do not fill a workshop, we will reach out to you as soon as possible and no later than one week prior to the event date.
