2-DAY RUG HOOKING WORKSHOP WITH CAITLIN BARRIE

Bring the beauty of the summer garden indoors as you create your own vibrant blooms cushion. In this hands‑on workshop, students will design and create a bright, cheerful, one‑of‑a‑kind punch needle cushion inspired by summer flowers and foliage!
 

Perfect for beginners, this workshop introduces the fundamentals of punch needle rug hooking.
Caitlin will guide you step‑by‑step through the tools, materials, and techniques, ensuring you leave with new skills and a finished, 2-sided  piece you’ll be proud to display or share!

 

Please note, there is a $40 material fee payable to the instructor in cash or e-transfer at the start of class.  

All materials are included in the kit fee.

There is a minimum of 6 to run this weekend. Fees will be fully refunded if class is not able to run.

Meet Caitlin!

Caitlin Barrie is a textile artist and designer who specializes in hand weaving, natural dyeing, knitting and rug hooking. Originally from Almonte, a small town in Eastern Ontario known for its rich history of Textile production; Caitlin developed a love for fibre at a young age, learning to knit and sew from her Scottish grandmother and Dutch Oma (grandmother). Caitlin holds a degree in Textiles from NSCAD University in Halifax, NS, and has been teaching textile classes and workshops for the City of Toronto for several years. She currently lives in Guelph, ON, where she is completing post graduate studies in Recreation Therapy.

WORKSHOP/COURSE CANCELLATION policy

IF YOU CANCEL

Cancellations up to 14 days prior to start date will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative fee. No refund of fees will apply to cancellations within 14 days of start date. Fees may be applied/credited to an alternate workshop depending on availability.

IF WE CANCEL

To help ensure the course you’re interested in runs, we suggest you register no less than two weeks in advance. In the event of insufficient registrations, ECFTA reserves the right to cancel workshops. You would be eligible for a full refund of fees, or credit for a future workshop, pending availability.
