Meet Megan!
Megan Cleland Is a fibre artist with a passion for felting. 10 years ago, Megan started exploring wool and other animal fibres as a medium to create her portraits. The warmth and richness of the natural colours and textures has added to the realism of her work. In 2023, Megan took the leap and attended The Royal Winter Fair in Toronto as a vendor. This not only got exposure with the public to this incredible form of fibre art, but also attracted the interest of 2 art Galleries. After signing with both, Megan’s art has taken off with public interest in felting and validated all her hard work learning this form of art. Megan has new ideas for 2024 portraits and workshops. She is planning a new body of work focusing on species at risk and endangered. She will be adding 3 dimensional sculptures to pair with her portraits. Megan feels this will add more interest for her felted work. 2025 brings a new year with new workshops in 3d, landscapes and more portrait workshops in new locations. She is excited to introduce more ideas for felt.
