IGNITE! Art Auction for the Elora Centre for the Arts – a week-long event!

The IGNITE! Art Auction BIDDING NOW LIVE ON OUR PORTAL! – An extraordinary silent art auction fundraising event!!  This special one week virtual-bidding event will celebrate and feature the vibrant creativity of some of Canada’s finest artists with a curated collection of beautiful original works from across Centre Wellington and Southern Ontario.  A massive and grateful THANK YOU to the 29 artists who have donated art for this incredible auction, and an additional 20 artists who have donated smaller works!

We are honoured to have Art Dealer, Advisor and Curator Renann Isaacs, working with us to bring this unbelievable event to life!

Here’s what you need to know to make sure you don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience and opportunity:

3 WAYS TO VIEW THE 29 ORIGINAL WORKS IN THE IGNITE! ART AUCTION:

1. VIEW IN PERSON in our gallery exhibition at the Arts Centre from March 15 – 22, 2025.  – Admission to the gallery during IGNITE! Art Auction week is free.
2. VIEW ONLINE NOW using our IGNITE! Auction portal.

2 WAYS TO BID AND BUY from March 15th  – March 22nd :

1. BID BY SILENT AUCTION ON LINE – all bids are placed through our IGNITE! Auction portal.  Bid from the comfort of your home all week!   Bidding portal closes at 10PM on March 22nd.
2. BUY OUTRIGHT – SAVE 10% – during Auction week, if you would like to guarantee your “win” you can choose the “buy now” option on the item you want on our  IGNITE! Auction portal.  The “buy now” price is the market value of the piece, less 10% – the option to “buy it now” closes at 4PM on March 22nd.

• • Buy from a selection of smaller works in the gallery for $500 or less (while they last).  View the price list of smaller works here.

• • Purchase RAFFLE TICKETS – buy raffle tickets in the gallery during Auction week for your chance to win an original large piece by Rachel Albano – “On My Heart”, 36″ x 36″, acrylic on canvas.  Value: $1750 Raffle tickets are 1 for $25, 4 for $75 and 10 for $100

• • Attend The IGNITE! GRAND FINALE EVENT – Saturday, March 22, 2025
    This is THE event to attend! Tickets for the Grand Finale are $50 and spots are limited, so be sure to buy your tickets NOW 
    • Prepare for an elevated evening filled with artful appetizers from local restaurants and paired wines … all the while placing bids (in competition with fellow guests and online national/international bidders) on some of your favourite pieces!

About the Curator for the IGNITE! Art Auction

Renann Isaacs was born into the Toronto Art Scene and has surrounded herself with ART ever since. Her father, an Art Dealer, was one of the first people to open a Contemporary Art Gallery in Canada. Her mother, an Actress, was a featured player in over 30 CBC productions. 

The first part of Renann’s career involved purchasing, selling and curating collections for the Isaacs/Innuit Gallery. The second involved the creation and publication of a Toronto Art and Gallery Guide. 

The third involved starting her own band, writing and singing songs while making it onto the cover of several magazines and into the hearts of music critics. The fourth involved opening her own gallery which specifically focused on local, regional, national and internationally known Canadian Artists. 

Now semi retired (and gallery free) she is concentrating her full attention on promoting Canadian Art Nationally and Internationally. Her involvement with curating and helping to organize the IGNITE! Art Auction fits in beautifully with her dedication to Arts and Culture … As the Elora Centre for the Arts has this same goal in mind!
