Looking to add a handmade touch to your holiday décor or create a one-of-a-kind gift? Join textile artist Caitlin Barrie for a festive afternoon of creativity and cheer as we dive into the art of rug hooking!
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll craft 2–3 beautiful ornaments in the colours and designs of your choice—perfect for decorating your tree or gifting to someone special. No experience needed—just bring your holiday spirit and we’ll provide the rest!
Please note, there is a $20 material fee payable to the instructor in cash or e transfer at the start of class. All materials are included in the kit fee.

Meet Caitlin!
Caitlin Barrie is a textile artist and designer who specializes in hand weaving, natural dyeing, knitting and rug hooking. Originally from Almonte, a small town in Eastern Ontario known for its rich history of Textile production; Caitlin developed a love for fibre at a young age, learning to knit and sew from her Scottish grandmother and Dutch Oma (grandmother). Caitlin holds a degree in Textiles from NSCAD University in Halifax, NS, and has been teaching textile classes and workshops for the City of Toronto for several years. She currently lives in Guelph, ON, where she is completing post graduate studies in Recreation Therapy.
