Let your child’s imagination fly free like snowflakes in this 3 day mini-camp December 29, 30 and 31 for ages 5-12.
Jump into a shimmering snow-kissed world where frosty dreams come alive, gently guided by ECFTA Educators’ Leah Ferguson and Stephanie Lines-Toohill and sprinkle some imagination into the holidays and welcome the New Year with creativity!
Our Winter Camp for Young Makers is designed to inspire 32 young artists throughout 3 days of creativity and imagination!
Led by ECFTA Arts Educators and student staff, we will work in 2 groups in both our cheery Art Classroom and sunny Sparrow’s Nest Maker Space. Each day is a balance of guided-art instruction and open-flow exploration, along with outdoor play in the snow!
To ensure that your child is ready for a full day of art making and fun!
- A healthy morning snack + and lunch
- An nut-free afternoon snack will be offered to keep the energy going

Meet Leah!
Leah Ferguson brings warmth and charm to all she does that the Art Centre! She has been a member of the Summer Camp Staff team for the past four years and delivers leadership and enthusiasm as Director of our Summer Camp program.
Leah is currently attending teachers college at Nipissing University and has a strong passion for working with children and providing an inspiring place to grow and learn. Leah is committed to creating safe, inspiring spaces where children feel empowered to explore, express themselves, and grow. Whether leading a nature walk, reading a story, or guiding an art project, Leah believes that every child deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated!
Meet Stephanie!
Stephanie Lines-Toohill brings her magical mix of compassion, creativity, and mindfulness to everything she does. She reminds us to pause and find wonder in unexpected places. She helps us let go of our worries and to be brave. Steph also runs Sparrow’s Nest Makerspace, a collaborative community space of connection. You might find her on a forest walk where she finds calming inspiration and beautiful found objects. Stephanie has been leading youth art groups and community art opportunities for over 15 years.
