Do you have a crafty kiddo looking for new ways of using all the bits & bobs in your craft drawer? Come be inspired in this mixed media class with Guelph artist Ahmri Vandeborne! Young makers will explore the exhibition “Clay & Cloth: Forest” at the Elora Centre for the Arts and collect inspiration in a fun scavenger hunt activity, then will take their new-found inspiration back to the crafting room to work with pencil crayons, pastels, markers, collage materials and more to create unique compositions of colour and shape on giftable cards, perfect for holiday giving!
Meet Ahmri!
Ahmri Vandeborne (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, curious-hearted collaborator, and community facilitator. Her passion for spacemaking is an essential tool in both her personal practice and her work as owner of Otherwise Studios, an inclusive studio space for art-making and community building.
Ahmri believes in the power of art as a vessel for community care and in the importance of accessibility in the arts sector. Her facilitation style is playful, experimentative and encouraging of anyone who wants to explore their creativity. Ahmri holds a BAH with Distinction in Studio Art, with minors in French and Art History from the University of Guelph.

Cancellations up to 14 days prior to start date will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative fee. No refund of fees will apply to cancellations within 14 days of start date. Fees may be applied/credited to an alternate workshop depending on availability.

In the event of insufficient registrations ECFTA reserves the right to cancel workshops. You would be eligible for a full refund of fees, or credit for a future workshop, pending availability.
