“Make it Monthly” in April & Leave Your Mark on our New Expansion — Literally!

April 1, 2025

This April, the Elora Centre for the Arts (ECFTA) is inviting the community to take part in its “Make It Monthly!” campaign — an initiative to encourage individuals, families, groups and businesses to leave their mark on the Arts Centre’s new expansion by making a monthly donation pledge.

The 3,500-square-foot expansion will create a much-needed space for arts programs, exhibitions, performances and more. It will also feature a new servery-style kitchen and be fully accessible throughout, so that everyone in the community can be a part of it.

“We’re close to reaching our fundraising goal,” says Lianne Carter, Executive Director of the Elora Centre for the Arts. “But we still need support to bring this vision to life. ‘Make It Monthly!’ is a fantastic way for people to make a meaningful impact — one month at a time — while leaving their mark on this one-of-a-kind community project.”

Ways to Participate in “Make it Monthly!”

Here are some of the ways individuals, families, groups and businesses can participate in “Make it Monthly!” this April:

  • Buy a Brick: Pledge a monthly donation of $15 from April 2025 through December 2027 to “buy a brick” in a stunning limestone feature wall that will be installed in the new building. Your name will be proudly displayed on a plaque.

  • Buy a Tree: Pledge a monthly donation of $30 from April 2025 through December 2027 to “buy a tree” in the Arts Centre’s greenspace. Your name will be recognized on a plaque by your tree.

  • Buy a Fish: Commit to a monthly donation of $75 from April 2025 through December 2027 to “buy a fish” in The School of Fish, a new public art installation by local artist Mike Hintermeister that will be permanently displayed on the MacDonald Pavilion at the Elora Centre for the Arts. Your name will be displayed on a plaque with the installation.

The Elora Centre for the Arts is a registered charity. All donations are tax-deductible.
