

Lianne Carter
Executive Director
As Director, Lianne is responsible for delivering on the strategic vision of the Centre – to establish the Elora Centre for the Arts as a unique community resource that fosters creativity, artistic expression and the belief that a vibrant arts centre is integral to the health of our community. Responsible for creating and maintaining a sustainable business model, overseeing staff, gallery exhibitions, curating the artisan shop to feature local artisans and makers, outreach partnerships, events, communication, graphic design, marketing and growth plans. She also oversees the heritage building and relationships with tenants. She is integral to the management of the current expansion project, a $4.5M project that will provide further opportunities for community connections through the arts. Lianne combines corporate and charitable experience – ranging from The Guelph Community Foundation to running her own marketing consulting business. She has worked in various marketing and advertising roles including Cossette Advertising & Marketing and Encore Strategic Marketing (now The Hive Strategic Marketing). Lianne studied Communications and Business at Wilfrid Laurier University and has an Executive MBA from Queens University and has recently completed a Not-For-Profit Leadership certificate program at Ontario Tech University.
