Elora Centre For the Arts Receives $20,000 Grant from FCC AgriSpirit Fund to Support New Expansion

December 18, 2024

The Elora Centre for the Arts is thrilled to announce it has been awarded a grant of $20,000 from Farm Credit Canada (FCC) and its AgriSpirit Fund.

This funding will support the Art Centre’s new expansion, specifically the construction of a new kitchen that will facilitate better nutrition and foster community connections through food.

“We are deeply grateful to Farm Credit Canada for their generous support of our project,” said Lianne Carter, Executive Director of the Elora Centre for the Arts. “This funding will allow us to create a space where community members can come together and thrive.”

The FCC AgriSpirit Fund provides financial support for capital projects that enhance the quality of life in rural communities across Canada. This year, FCC invested $1.5 million to support 82 community initiatives in towns, cities and Indigenous communities with fewer than 150,000 people.

“At FCC, we are incredibly proud to support projects that make a positive impact in the rural communities where we live and work,” said Justine Hendricks, FCC president and CEO.

“Through the FCC AgriSpirit Fund, we’re investing in capital projects that enhance the quality of life and foster growth in these communities. From improving food security to enhancing community spaces, these projects are a testament to the creativity and dedication of those committed to building a brighter future for rural Canada.”

Since its inception in 2001, the FCC AgriSpirit Fund has supported 1,697 projects, investing $22.5 million in initiatives that drive positive change in rural areas.
