Open Sky Live Music in the Yard – Summer Concert Series

Join us for an evening of County/Singer-Songwriter followed by Folk/Soul/Country/Rock live on the MacDonald Pavilion Stage at the Elora Centre for the Arts, featuring Bella Frances and Poppy Miers (scroll down for bios). This concert is part of a free summer-long concert series happening at the Elora Centre for the Arts on select Thursday nights from 6-9PM.
The ‘Open Sky’ live music series is presented in partnership with our friends at Tribute Homes, Sorbara Group of Companies and Storybrook Homes.
First set: Bella Frances (6 – 7:15PM) | Second set: Poppy Miers (7:45-9PM)

Bella Frances
Bella Frances combines her powerful storytelling skills with her musical theatre performance background for emotionally articulate country music that paints vivid pictures in the minds of listeners. Bella released her debut single in 2023 and her debut EP a year later, both produced by Grammy-nominated, Juno-winning producer Rob Szabo.
Poppy Miers
Poppy Miers is a singer-songwriter from Toronto. Growing up in Toronto, Hong Kong and Edinburgh, Poppy’s music taste is much like her up bringing – diverse. From folk, country and soul to rock ‘n’ roll, Poppy’s musical inspirations are drawn from Dusty Springfield, Led Zeppelin, CSNY, Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and The Drifters. Her lyrics often leave you deep in nostalgia. Known for being the leader of band Drop Dead Poppies, she has hung her hat all over the world and recently traded her farm in Monck, Ontario for a full-time life in Toronto. A devoted Deadhead, animal lover, cancer survivor, multidisciplinary artist and tireless champion of the local scene, she can usually be found on stage, deep in her craft or cheering on friends from the front row. When it comes to playing tunes and hosting live events, the music never stops for this one.
