Jump into the world of Puppetry with prop-maker Sophia Deluca and discover how design shapes what a puppet can do—talk, walk, dance, or show emotions. In this playful 3-hour workshop, junior puppeteers will experiment with creating voices, personalities, and styles that match their characters. It’s a hands‑on, imagination‑powered workshop where every artist will bring puppets to life in their own unique way!
Throughout the afternoon, Sophia will offer 3 styles of puppet making, time permitting.
- Paper Mouth Puppets
- Jointed Paper Puppets
- Stick Puppets
- Using everyday materials and a bit of magic!
The afternoon wraps up with a playful puppeteering session where kids will learn how to make their puppets look, speak, and react—then try it out with their new creations!

Meet Sophia!
Sophia Deluca is a Canadian Prop Maker and Artist. Her work focuses on the bizarre and whimsical, both imagined and discovered. She aims to inspire creativity and fun in every endeavour she undertakes!
Sophia is currently studying Technical Production For The Performing Arts Industry at Sheridan College.
