Shake off winter and step into spring by immersing yourself in Van Gogh’s 1890 masterwork Irises. In this one‑day oil painting workshop, you’ll explore bold colour, expressive brushwork, and simplified shapes inspired by this iconic floral painting.
The focus will be on working confidently with colour relationships, creating movement through mark-making, and building a lively, cohesive painting.
Through live demonstrations and personalized feedback, Rick will demonstrate key techniques and provide individual guidance throughout the day and will share insights from his own creative process—helping you explore new techniques, develop your skills and recharge your creative energy.
Whether you’re a seasoned painter or just beginning your journey, this workshop offers a refreshing escape and a chance to create something that represents you.

Meet Rick!
Rick Worthington is an accomplished full-time impressionist painter based in the charming village of Elora, Ontario. Rick secured his position as a notable artist by winning first place in the “Modern Impressionist Magazine” October/November salon of 2023. His vibrant oil paintings, depicting lively street scenes and cozy cafes, are highly sought after, masterfully capturing the interplay of light and shadow to create a captivating atmosphere.
