Skyline to Double Support for Elora Centre for the Arts this Holiday Season

From now until Dec. 31, every dollar donated to the Arts Centre’s outreach programs will be matched by Skyline, up to $10,000

Skyline is once again amplifying community generosity for the Elora Centre for the Arts. From now until Dec. 31, every dollar donated to the Arts Centre’s outreach programs will be matched by Skyline, up to $10,000 — doubling support for initiatives that foster creativity, connection and community well-being.

“We’re beyond thrilled that Skyline has made this generous commitment for a second year in a row,” said Lianne Carter, Executive Director, Elora Centre for the Arts. “While we’ve had a successful year of fundraising for our new addition, our outreach programs still need the community’s support to continue and reach those who need them most.”

Outreach programs supported by this campaign include:

  • Bursary Program for Kids: New financial assistance program to help ensure every child has access to the arts, covering 50–100% of fees for Arts Centre workshops, classes and camps.
  • Supportive Arts: Art and music sessions held three times a week for adults with (dis)abilities in a welcoming, inclusive space, where they can express themselves, make new friends and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
  • Community Connections: School-based outreach program that brings free arts experiences to youth with (dis)abilities — building self-esteem, nurturing well-being and helping students feel more connected to their community.
  • Artful Ageing: New outreach program that brings free art-making sessions directly to seniors in retirement living and long-term care, sparking joy and connection while giving residents a chance to share memories, tell stories and feel seen. In addition, a new on-site outreach program for seniors will be starting at the Arts Centre in the new year.

“After seeing the impact of last year’s matching campaign, we knew we wanted to do it again,” said R. Jason Ashdown, Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer at Skyline. “Skyline is committed to strengthening the communities we serve, and the Arts Centre’s outreach programs do exactly that. We’re proud to match donations and hope it encourages others to give as well.”

“Participation in the arts truly has the power to change lives — especially for those facing significant challenges,” said Carter. “From improving self-esteem and mental health to fostering a profound sense of belonging, our outreach programs have become a lifeline for so many in our community, and we’re deeply grateful to Skyline for their incredible support.”
