$150.00
Snow is more than just white paint. It’s a delicate dance of light, shadow, and subtle colour variations.
Join Elora artist Rick Worthington for a relaxed day of oil painting and learn how to capture the serene beauty of a late winter landscape. In this guided workshop, artists will paint a peaceful, snow-covered farm during the last days of winter, while exploring the techniques Impressionist painters used to bring scenes to life!
With step-by-step demonstrations and personalized guidance, Rick will walk you through the essential concepts of composition, contrast, and atmospheric depth. Whether you’re a novice or have some brushwork under your belt, students will learn to use a limited palette of warm and cool primaries, developing your colour-mixing skills while keeping your colour notes clean and vibrant.
With guided demonstrations, you’ll gain valuable skills to enhance your own painting practice! All levels of experience welcome.
Please note, there is a $25 kit fee payable in cash to the instructor at the start of class. All materials are included in the kit fee; oil paint, a canvas, odourless solvent, reference image, grey scale for colour mixing, brushes etc.
