Stephanie Lines-Toohill
ECFTA Outreach Facilitator & Sparrows Nest Makerspace Manager
Stephanie Lines-Toohill is a key member of our Outreach Team at the Arts Centre. She manages the Sparrow’s Nest Makerspace—a community hub for creativity and connection. The Sparrow’s Nest is an all-ages collaborative space where making, mending, and inventing know no bounds. With both drop-in options for adults and youth, as well as pre-registered programs, the Nest offers a grassroots creative environment that nurtures belonging and a strong sense of place. Stephanie and her team create opportunities to explore mixed-media artmaking, repurposing, and mending with donated and found materials, celebrating resourcefulness, diversity, and friendship along the way. She is also an integral part of our Supportive Arts Program for adults with varying abilities, as well as our Artful Ageing Program for seniors living in residential care settings. Bringing compassion, creativity, and mindfulness to everything she does, Stephanie encourages us to pause and find wonder in unexpected places. With more than 20 years of experience leading youth art groups and community art initiatives, she champions each artist’s journey as a curious explorer and brings people together through the shared joy of making art.
