Join artist and ECFTA team member, Ray Fleming for an afternoon of DARK mark-making!
We will explore the shadowy world of plants that kill in this introduction to LINO BLOCK PRINTING.
Ray will offer a choice of three poisonous plants as your subject and guide you through the process of carving and lino block printing; the purple poison Acontium (Monkshood), Conium Maculatum (Hemlock), or the deadly Galerina mushroom.
Each artist will have the opportunity to print up to five original images and go home with their lino block If they wish to continue carving more detail or pulling more prints. Perfect for anyone interested in the dark arts and learning a new skill!
Source images will be provided. For anyone who has more experience or wishes to bring their own reference image/drawing, this is welcomed. Keep in mind our time frame and make sure your design is simple enough to complete in class. Send us an email or bring along a photocopy. All materials included.
