Join Ahmri Vandeborne from Otherwise Studios to learn the art of monoprinting without a press, using a gel plate printing technique!

Learn how to compose interesting imagery using stencils, transfers, and various tools to create texture. Participants will also experiment with layering prints to create more detailed compositions.

All materials supplied in the kit fee.

Meet Ahmri!

Ahmri Vandeborne (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, curious-hearted collaborator, and community facilitator. Her passion for spacemaking is an essential tool in both her personal practice and her work as owner of Otherwise Studios, https://otherwisestudios.com/ an inclusive studio space for art-making and community building. Ahmri believes in the power of art as a vessel for community care and in the importance of accessibility in the arts sector. Her facilitation style is playful, experimentative and encouraging of anyone who wants to explore their creativity. Ahmri holds a BAH with Distinction in Studio Art, with minors in French and Art History, from the University of Guelph.

Cancellations up to 14 days prior to start date will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative fee. No refund of fees will apply to cancellations within 14 days of start date. Fees may be applied/credited to an alternate workshop depending on availability.

To help ensure the course you’re interested in runs, we suggest you register no less than two weeks in advance. In the event of insufficient registrations ECFTA reserves the right to cancel workshops. You would be eligible for a full refund of fees, or credit for a future workshop, pending availability.
