Discover the possibilities of abstract painting with artist Carolyn Sharp in this introductory workshop suitable for all levels of experience.
Spend a playful day exploring what makes an abstract painting compelling and learn how to build dynamic compositions and achieve colour harmony.
Carolyn will guide you through playful exercises and share practical tips to spark your imagination!
Working with acrylics, charcoal, and mixed media on both paper and canvas, you’ll experiment freely and leave with fresh techniques, new confidence, and artworks that reflect your unique style. The day is designed to encourage curiosity, risk‑taking, and exploration!
Please note there is a $15 kit fee payable to Carolyn at the start of class.

Meet Carolyn!
Carolyn Sharp explores the many layers, rhythms and patterns found in nature in an abstracted style. She is drawn to the expansiveness found in wide open skies, dramatic cloud formations, forests, rivers and lakes in Ontario. She aims to push the boundaries of what inspires her and translate those moments onto canvas using mixed media plus acrylic paints or oil & cold wax.
