THE ATRIUM

Approx. 1,400 sq. ft.

A bright, modern space with soaring beams and large windows.

Ideal for receptions, presentations, meetings, and creative gatherings. Flexible layouts accommodate standing or seated events. Capacity varies depending on event layout and setup.

The Atrium includes access to a coat room, accessible washrooms, and a servery kitchen (add-on fee).

A newly renovated, climate-controlled exhibition space showcasing rotating original artwork. The Gallery provides the option to open into the Atrium for expanded capacity and seamless flow between spaces, enhancing guest experience and event versatility.

Please Note: For outdoor rentals with 200+ guests, the Renter is responsible for renting portable outdoor washroom facilities.

SOCAN and RE: Sound Licensing Fees
Events featuring live or recorded music will have licensing fees applied to their final invoice. Fees are determined based on the capacity of the rented space, in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Alcohol Service
Where alcohol is served at an event, the renter must obtain a Special Occasions Permit (SOP) issued by the AGCO, and provide a copy to the ECFTA prior to the event. The renter must provide Smart Serve certified servers and comply with regulations. The renter will provide the alcohol for the event and ensure its removal following the event.

Insurance
Renters are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance with a minimum of $2 million in Commercial General Liability coverage, naming the Elora Centre for the Arts as an Additional Insured.
For any event involving the service of alcohol, this coverage must include also include liquor liability.

Pavilion & Yard Rentals

  • Pavilion stage (approx. 26 feet wide x 16 feet deep)
  • Removeable side walls (wood slats)
  • Moveable yard fencing, stage risers and event stanchions available
  • This area features and art pathway with sculptures, picnic tables and benches
  • Directly across the street from Bissell Park, on the Grand River

We live and work in a beautiful historic community, and we love our neighbours!  There are some sound guidelines and restrictions in place for anyone booking the pavilion.  We will provide a full Sound Agreement to all users, however please be mindful that events in the pavilion have sound restrictions:

  • Regular “Type 1” performances or events in the pavilion must be in the range of 80-100 DBA (maximum 100 DBA, averaged over several minutes and measured from between 50-100 feet from the stage).  Sound meter tests are required.
  • Performances with little/no amplification are welcome.  This “Type 2” performance or event (if amplified at all) must stay within the range of 60DBA-89DBA (averaged over several minutes and measured from between 50-100 feet from the stage).  Sound meter tests are required.
  • “Type 3” performances or events are limited to 3 per year (events/performances up to 105 DBA) .  Please inquire.  In this case, there are special requirements to notify our neighbours.
  • ECFTA requires that all amplified performances (all 3 Types above) end by 10PM.
