Who: The Elora Mill

The gift: Hosting fundraising galas to benefit the Elora Centre for the Arts, including its new expansion, for a total value of $100,000 to date.

The Elora Mill has long been synonymous with beauty, connection and community — a place where history meets hospitality, and every detail is infused with care. So it’s no surprise that when the Elora Centre for the Arts was seeking the community’s support for its new expansion, the Elora Mill stepped up to play a major role.

By generously hosting multiple fundraising galas for the Arts Centre — for a total value of $100,000 to date — the Elora Mill has helped turn vision into reality for the Arts Centre’s transformative new expansion.

The new 3,500-square-foot addition to the Arts Centre’s existing building will create a fully accessible space where everyone in the community can create, connect and belong.

For Jocelyn Maurice, Managing Partner of the Elora Mill, the partnership simply made sense.

“Supporting the Elora Centre for the Arts felt like a natural extension of who we are and what we value at the Elora Mill,” she says. “Art isn’t just something beautiful to look at — it’s a way of connecting, of telling stories, of healing and inspiring.”

For years, the Elora Mill has worked with the Arts Centre to showcase local artists within its spaces, weaving creativity into the guest experience. But Maurice says their connection to the Arts Centre goes much deeper.

“What really draws us to the Arts Centre is the way it acts as a creative heartbeat for the community,” she explains. “It’s a place where art and expression are accessible to everyone — where people of all ages can walk through the door and feel that spark.”

That belief in creativity as a catalyst for belonging and wellness runs deep through the Elora Mill’s philosophy.

“At the heart of it, we share the belief that when creativity thrives, so does the community,” Maurice says. “That’s something we’ll always stand behind.”

As construction on the new addition nears completion, Maurice and her team take great pride in knowing that their support helped bring it to life.

“This expansion isn’t just about bricks and mortar — it’s about creating opportunities for artists, for students, for families, for everyone,” she says. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know we’ve played a part in helping that vision grow.”
