This installment comes on the heels of the award-winning film Manufactured Landscapes. Burtynsky’s work provides insightful and thought-provoking images as he records some of the astonishing transformations taking place in the global landscape, and the resulting social changes. LinguaElastic January 11 - January 27, 2007 Opening performance: Thursday, January 11 at 7:30 p.m. Many great artists in modern history were in constant artistic and philosophical collaboration with peers in other disciplines – Stravinsky and Diaghilev, Mallarme and Modigliani, Xenakis and LeCorbusier. When artists enter discourse and work together true art is created: art that is the result of the process of communication, crosspollination, and the meeting of minds, spirits, and ideas. ‘LinguaElastic’ is a collaborative live performance piece involving spoken word poetry by Jill Battson and live electroacoustic sound art by Andrew Staniland. Inspirations and Hauntings
Inspirations and Hauntings: Interpretations of Elora’s Old School Begins August 17 through to September 17, with a reception and artist’s talk on Thursday, August 24, 7:30 p.m. Featured artists are Sare Kumagai (photographs with text), Katelyn Languille (paintings, mythologizing the school building with images from the era of David Boyle), and Tania Love (poetic installation of historical photographs, objects, and interpretive addition). This showing coincides with the Old School Reunion.

The ribbon of asphalt heading to the horizon becomes a symbol of freedom, where we can leave responsibilities behind.
