Kyle Beal : SET-UP

January 11 – March 2, 2014 Opening Reception: Saturday, January 11, 2pm – 4pm The interests of Beal’s process and practice are concerned with the ‘Amateur’ and ‘Professional’, feigned behaviors and acting and comedy. His work undertakes these dramatic and sometimes tragic themes in a highly playful, but subtle fashion leaving space for an open-ended dialogue with the viewer. Investigations into this subject matter survey a variety of media with a primary focus on drawing and sculpture/installation. Currently he is expanding his practice to incorporate new media.
