Art Auction \n \nRenann Isaacs was born into the Toronto Art Scene and has surrounded herself with ART ever since. Her father\, an Art Dealer\, was one of the first people to open a Contemporary Art Gallery in Canada. Her mother\, an Actress\, was a featured player in over 30 CBC productions.  \nThe first part of Renann’s career involved purchasing\, selling and curating collections for the Isaacs/Innuit Gallery. The second involved the creation and publication of a Toronto Art and Gallery Guide.  \nThe third involved starting her own band\, writing and singing songs while making it onto the cover of several magazines and into the hearts of music critics. The fourth involved opening her own gallery which specifically focused on local\, regional\, national and internationally known Canadian Artists.  \nNow semi retired (and gallery free) she is concentrating her full attention on promoting Canadian Art Nationally and Internationally. Her involvement with curating and helping to organize the IGNITE! Art Auction fits in beautifully with her dedication to Arts and Culture … As the Elora Centre for the Arts has this same goal in mind!  \n

SUMMARY:The Georgian Bay Series AFTER VARLEY
DESCRIPTION:OIL PAINTING WITH RICK WORTHINGTON \nRescheduled to Saturday\, March 15. \nThe third in our GEORGIAN BAY series celebrating the work of members of the Group of 7\, AFTER VARLEY is an intermediate oil painting workshop for artists with some oil experience. Create a master copy of Frederick Varley’s 1921 masterpiece\, Stormy Weather\, Georgian Bay. \n \nThis iconic painting captures the rugged essence of the Canadian Shield with its windswept pines\, churning waves\, and dynamic sky. Copying a master’s work is one of the most effective ways to deepen your understanding of technique and style.   \nIn this class\, you’ll learn how to simplify bold shapes to build a strong composition\, capture the dramatic atmosphere of stormy skies and water\, mix a harmonious palette of cool tones\, and use brushwork to add texture while maintaining Harris’s distinctive stylized aesthetic. With personalized guidance and demonstrations\, you’ll gain valuable skills to enhance your painting practice. \n\nPlease note\, there is a $25 Kit fee payable to Rick in cash at the start of class. \nAll materials are included in the kit fee; oil paint\, canvas\, odourless solvent\, reference image\, grey scale for colour mixing\, brushes etc. \nContact us for more info!
