These two will make you laugh\, blush and dance about\, drinking mason jars of the moonshine as they play 1930s jugband\, ragtime numbers with washboard\, musical spoons\, resonator guitar\, tenor banjo\, mandolin\, teapot trumpet and mouth harp!  Shine your shoes & get ready to do the Skoodle Um Skoo!  You may even get the chance to play the washboard\, thimble or musical spoons during the performance! \n \nThe ‘Open Sky’ series is presented in partnership with our friends at Tribute Homes\, Sorbara Group of Companies and Storybrook Homes. \nAbout the Artist \nAn award-winning jugband-ragtime-blues duo\, The Vaudevillian consists of the old fashioned gentleman Jitterbug James\, and the sweet and sassy Norah Spades. \nWashboard. This performance is presented in partnership with Granite Homes. \nJames Gray is a contemporary version of an old-school traveling folk singer. In the past decade\, Gray has toured Canada\, Europe and Australia\, seeing the world and sharing his beloved songs along the way. Galvanized by the idea to speak to the human condition through the creation and delivery of song\, Gray draws from his deep love of legendary songwriters such as John Prine\, Townes Van Zandt\, Gillian Welch\, to guide him. \n \nThe ‘Open Sky’ series is presented in partnership with our friends at Tribute Homes\, Sorbara Group of Companies and Storybrook Homes. \nAbout the Artist \nA unique finger style guitarist\, with a vocal that is hauntingly beautiful\, Gray\, often accompanied by a rather droll\, humorous stage patter\, immerses himself in each and every song with a soulfulness and attack that is infectious and disarming. With a broad grin and good natured chuckle\, Gray\nwill often smile into the microphone and state matter of factly that he wants you to remember who he is. \nGray’s third album is entitled “New Friends That Talk Like Old Friends”. Hailing from Elora\, Ontario\, his affinity for music began when he was a young boy\, but it wasn’t until he started traveling at the age of 18 that he found his true voice.  \nHe draws inspiration from his experiences on the road\, the blend of jazz\, country\, ragtime and blues\, creating a whole that is entirely his own.
