DESCRIPTION:DRAWING 101’s FOR KIDS! with Donna Hull \n5 WEEK SATURDAY MORNING SERIES \nSaturdays\, October 7 – November 4\, 2023 \n9:30 – 12pm \nMAX. 15  |  Ages 8 + \n$150 for all 5 weeks  |  no hst  |  All materials provided. \nWake up the weekend in an immersive morning with Donna Hull and learn the drawing 101’s from an art educator with more than 30 years of experience teaching\, both in the classroom and beyond! \nThis 5-week series will focus on the wonders of nature\, drawing beautiful\, organic shapes such as shells and rocks\, mushrooms\, and root vegetables for the first 3-4 weeks and finishing with their choice of a naturalistic animal portrait. A Deer or Hare! \nFundamental Drawing skills are woven into each weekly lesson and home play exercises are encouraged! Our young artists will work on paper and be introduced to artist quality drawing materials and tools such as graphite sticks\, mechanical erasers\, tortillion blending sticks\, kneadable erasers and more! \n \nFor ages 8 and up. All materials included. \nMeet Donna! \n \nDonna Hull is a local artist and educator and has enjoyed a long and varied career as both much loved teacher at Elora Public School and artist. Donna loves to draw\, paint\, build and play! \n  \n  \n  \n\n \nIF YOU CANCEL \nCancellations up to 14 days prior to start date will receive a full refund\, less a $25 administrative fee. No refund of fees will apply to cancellations within 14 days of start date. DESCRIPTION:INside OUTside UPside Down!  |  PA Day for Kids! \nFriday\, November 24\, 2023  |  9 am – 4 pm \nAges 4-12 \nMax 36 \n$70 no hst \nsold out\nIt’s ok to make a mistake! In fact\, sometimes it’s the best thing about making art! We’ll HI-5 those artful accidents and embrace our inner randomness in a day filled with free-styling projects designed to let loose our inner Picasso’s! \nThis school year\, we have expanded our PA Day program to accommodate 36 young artists! We will be dividing our PA Day kids into 2 groups (ages 4-6 and 7-12) and working in both our cheery Art Classroom and the sunny Sparrow’s Nest Maker Space . \nLed by ECFTA Art Educators Alexa Collette and Stephanie Lines-Toohill. Our PD days will be a balance of guided art instruction & learning in our art classroom\, and open-creative exploration in our maker space. Along with outdoor fresh air and play during breaks\, as always! \n \n\nAbout the Instructors \nAlexa Collette recently graduated from the BA program at the University of Guelph and has been facilitating workshops and camp experiences for the past few years and loving every minute of it! Alexa is a painter\, drawer\, loves creating murals\, and collaborating with the community. She is excited to create a space for art-making and exploration at the Elora Centre for the Arts! \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nStephanie Lines-Toohill brings her magical mix of compassion\, creativity\, and mindfulness to everything she does. She reminds us to pause and find wonder in unexpected places. She helps us let go of our worries and to be brave. Steph also runs Sparrow’s Nest Makerspace\, a collaborative community space of connection. You might find her on a forest walk where she finds calming inspiration and beautiful found objects. Stephanie has been leading youth art groups and community art opportunities for over 15 years.
