SUMMARY:BIG DAY OUT!  Full day open air art camp
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT! \nAges 7-11 \nMax 12 \n$300/week \n(a 10% discount will be applied at checkout for ECFTA Members) \nCampers! Join us for a full week of fresh-air fun\, designed to bring out the young artist in you! \nEach day will be filled with nature-inspired creativity\, outdoor art & craft making under our 1500 sq. ft. big-top canopy tent\, new friends and lots of free-range play perfect for a hot July week! \nBIG DAY OUT! is led by guest instructor Carolyn McLeod-McCarthy of Creative Spark Workshops in Guelph\, along with the help of our Summer Student leader. \n  \n\nPlease bring a healthy snack and refillable water bottle.\nDress for the weather each day and for getting messy!\nAll materials provided.\nStudents will be safely distanced at 6 feet apart at work stations under our open-air canopy.\nMasks are required for using the indoor washrooms (and if Public Health requires outdoor masking when 6 feet is not possible).\nTemperatures will be taken daily.\n\nTo ensure the health and safety of staff and participants\, the ECFTA will have a limited number of children registered in accordance with Wellington Dufferin Public Health recommendations. Daily cleaning and social distancing will be in place to ensure that campers have a safe and enjoyable camp experience. \nIf classes are cancelled for any reason due to public health concerns\, refunds will be given in full. \nPlease note: Parents/guardians will be asked to fill out a Release Waiver for a daily walk to Bissell Park and a Covid Liability Waiver. \n  \n**One Complimentary Camp spot is available for a family in need. This free week of camp has been generously sponsored by the Guelph Community Foundation.  This spot will be given on a first come basis by contacting Judy Anderson at programming@ecfta.ca by June 23. No documents required. Simply let us know! \n\nInstructor Bio Carolyn McLeod-McCarthy:\nA graphic design professional\, illustrator\, fine artist and college instructor\, Carolyn has applied her skills in both traditional art and in digital form for over 20 years. Carolyn runs Creative Spark Workshops in Guelph and loves getting creative with kids!  Having worked with many departments including marketing and advertising in both the private and public sectors\, Carolyn is also a part-time instructor at Conestoga College teaching in the areas of Marketing\, Advertising\, Public Relations\, Internet Marketing\, Social Media Marketing and New Business Ventures. Outside of her teaching profession\, she loves to create\, write\, network and socialize and is always working on new projects from refinishing furniture\, creating wire wrapped jewellery\, illustrating for web and print design\, and continues to do consulting work and freelance in Graphic Design\, illustration\, Marketing and New Ventures consulting. Carolyn comes by her love of all things artistic quite honestly.
