DESCRIPTION:THE NEST!  THURSDAY AFTER-SCHOOL MAKER SPACE FOR TWEENS! \nFOR AGES 10+  |  Maximum 20 spots \nWINTER PROGRAM  |  JANUARY 19– March 30\, 2023 \nTHURSDAYS 3:30-5:30 \n*no session during March Break\, Thursday\, March 16. \n$5 PER SESSION  |  $50 for the entire 10 week session  \nRegister for all 10 weeks (no single date sign-ups or drop in).  \n**Please note\, The Nest will NOT run on School Closure Days. \nThe Nest WILL run on No Bus days 🙂 \nsold out\n \nThis is a subsidized program\, thanks to the generosity of our community on Giving Tuesday 2022 and donations received at our summer Creative Spark in the Yard event!   The actual cost per class is $17 per child ($170 per session).  If you are able to pay more for the program\, please consider making a discretionary donation towards future outreach programs at the Centre here. \nIf you would like to sign up for The Nest after the start date\, please contact us to arrange details!  Payment will be prorated. \nThe Nest After School Program for Tweens! \nA space to relax and create in our cheery classroom at the Elora Centre for the Arts! \nJust bring YOU! This is an open flow\, gender diverse space for gently guided creativity and gathering with friends. Student led projects will be guided by an ECFTA Arts Facilitators and volunteers. We encourage you to share any projects you’re working\, homework or non-digital games. \nEach week we will provide tea\, a snack\, a variety of materials each week and engagement. Supply donations are welcome! \n*Students will be asked to sign in and out independently. \n**Parents are not required to accompany their children for drop off or pick up. \n HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ~ Sign up to earn your Community Volunteer Hours as MENTORS! \n\nEach session\, the Elora Centre for the Arts offers complimentary spots in the NEST! \nIf you are a family with a child who could benefit from joining the Nest\, no questions asked\, please contact us. \n  \n\n  \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Friday\, March 3\, 2023 | 9 am – 4 pm \nAges 6-12 | Max 15 \n$65 no hst \nsold out\nINside\, OUTside\, UPside\, DOWN! It’s ok to make a mistake! In fact\, sometimes it’s the best thing about making art! Innovation requires failure and “mistakes” can be a great starting place\, so we’ll HI-5 those artful accidents and embrace randomness in a day filled with thought-provoking projects designed to let loose our inner Picasso’s! \n \nLed by ECFTA Arts Educator Kristine May. \nKristine May has over 20 years experience designing and implementing expressive art workshops\, classes and educational art programs within galleries\, art centres\, community outreach and both the public & private school system\, Kris is dedicated to exploring the link between the arts and wellbeing; committed to inspiring others through creative outlets.  Her goal is to promote the benefits of creative expression and provide opportunities for all individuals to tap into their own innate creativity\, where they are free to explore and expand their creative pursuits and potential. Kristine has an Honours Degree in Visual Arts from U.W.O. and completed her Masters level training in Art Therapy. \n  \nTo ensure that your child is ready for a full day of art making and fun: \n\nA healthy mid-morning snack and lunch\nRefillable water bottle\nDress for the weather each day and for getting messy\nMasking is not required and is left to your discretion.\nWe ask that you follow UGDSB pre-screening best practices. If your child has a new or worsening symptom\, please use your best judgement.\n\n\nIF YOU CANCEL \nCancellations up to 7 days prior to start date will receive a full refund less a $25 administrative fee. No refund of fees will apply to cancellations within 7 days of start date (fees may however be applied/ credited to an alternate course/ workshop). \nIF WE CANCEL \nTo help ensure the course you’re interested in runs\, we suggest you register no less than two weeks in advance.  In the event of insufficient registrations ECFTA reserves the right to cancel courses/ workshops\, & you would be eligible for a full refund of fees\, or credit can be applied to a future course/ workshop\, pending availability.
