SUMMARY:Welcome to the Elora Nature Journaling for homeschooling families!
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays\, September 13 – December 6\, 2022 | 10 am – 12 pm \nAges 6-10 \n$35 for all 7 weeks \nWelcome to the Elora Nature Journaling group for homeschooling families! \nThis is a registration required\, in person group which meets bi-weekly at the Elora Centre for the Arts\, open to homeschooling students between the ages of 6 and 10 who reside in Wellington County and are currently participating in any style of homeschooling. \nPlease contact Lauren at Eloranaturejournaling@gmail.com to register or for more information. \n \nThe first meeting will be Tuesday\, September 13th 2022 at 10 AM-12 PM. There will be a total of 7 sessions\, running until Tuesday\, December 6th\, 2022. \nThis is not a drop off program. One parent or guardian must attend for each participating family. Accompanying adults are encouraged to bring their own journal and participate alongside their registered student(s). \nThe cost per session is $5 a child.  The total fee per child of $35 can be paid upon registration\, or payment options can be discussed privately upon registration. The fee will go towards covering the cost of the room rental and the use of basic art supplies. \nSuggested supplies for participants to bring include: \n\na watercolour safe journal\nany favourite watercolour painting supplies from home\nrefillable water bottle\nnut-free snack\nweather appropriate clothing for time outdoors\n\nStudent grade watercolours and art supplies will be made available in the class. \nNature journals can be made available at the first class for an additional fee. \nPlease contact Lauren at Eloranaturejournaling@gmail.com to register or for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Ages 12+ (MAX. 10 participants) \n$95 + HST   |  $15 KIT FEE \nJoin artist Megan Cleland of In the Line of Fibre to learn the basics of needle felting and create your own amazingly life-like wooly sheep portrait in a day! Megan will guide you step-by-step through this multi-media process and teach you the techniques of transferring a sketch; painting a background; and how to needle felt an image onto canvas. Once completed you will have the skills to create your own designs.  Bring a friend and sign up today! \nIdeal for ages 12 and up. No experience required. \n \nPlease note: A $15 material kit fee is payable in cash to the instructor in cash at the start of the workshop. \n  \nSupplied in Kit: \n\nFoam board\n12”x12” canvas\nAcrylic paints\n2-36* needles\nWool\nInstruction sheet to take home.\n\n\nInstructor Bio: \nMegan Cleland is a self-taught artist with a passion for felting. In 2000 Megan and her husband purchased a farm in Australia that came with 400 fine wool merinos. She started explored felting\, spinning\, and weaving for the sheer enjoyment of being surrounded by incredible fibres. Megan returned to Canada in 2008 and began to combine her love of portraiture and needle felting. Painting with wool to create realistic portraits and landscapes has been a natural progression from watercolour and pastel with exciting results.
