DESCRIPTION:MICRO MINI MAKERS!  |  Miniature World Camp \nTuesday\, July 2 – Friday\, July 5\, 2024 (4 day camp) \n9 am to 4 pm \nAges 5-12  |  Max 36  |  $280 no hst   \nIt’s a micro-art world week! Small hands can make great art in a week full of tiny builds\, small-scale sculptures\, and mini masterpieces! \nWe will explore a mix-up of mediums all micro-focused on the miniature. It will be petite-week of pint-sized perfection! \nsold out \n \nOur Summer Camps are led by ECFTA Art Educators and our cheery staff of Summer Students. Our Campers will be working in 2 groups in both our studio Art Classroom and sunny Maker Space. The week will be a balance of guided art instruction\, open-flow creativity and outdoor fun! \nMeet Alexa! \nAlexa Collette recently graduated from the BA program at the University of Guelph and has been facilitating workshops and camp experiences for the past few years and loving every minute of it! Alexa is a painter\, drawer\, loves creating murals\, and collaborating with the community. Modernist thinkers and artists pushed the boundaries of art making and new materials and so will we!  \nWe’ll explore the modernist teachings of the Bauhaus and focus our skills on developing Paul Klee-inspired block printmaking; 3-D architectural sculptures in the style of Wassily Kandinsky’s landscapes; and a kinetic wall sculpture that would make Maholy-Nagy proud! \n \nOur Summer Camps are led by ECFTA Art Educators and our cheery staff of Summer Students. Our Campers will be working in 2 groups in both our studio Art Classroom and sunny Maker Space. The week will be a balance of guided art instruction\, open-flow creativity and outdoor fun! \nMeet Rae! \nRae Abel (they/them) \nAn artist\, trained in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo\, Rae also holds a Montessori Teachers College diploma. Rae is currently enrolled in the B.Ed program at Laurier and brings a unique artistic appreciation and knowledge to all their teaching.
