SUMMARY:Supportive Arts Program | OTF Grant Boost
DESCRIPTION:New Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) grant will boost our Supportive Arts program for adults 18+ with learning (dis)abilities \nWe are so thankful to the OTF who’s grant will help us grow this community program over the next 3 years!  Our goal with this program is the enrich the lives of our community participants through arts-based learning opportunities and compelling artistic experiences. \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nDue to COVID restrictions and the compromised immune systems of some of our participants\, they are not able to engage in road trips and come visit our facility at the Elora Centre for the Arts for phase one of this program.  The good news is\, if they can’t come to us (for now) – we will go to them!  We take our art instructors\, staff and art supplies ‘on the road’ to Guelph and run the program twice a week at the Live & Learn day-facility! \n \nCreativity – Self Discovery – Art & Mindfulness \nTwice a week\, an ECFTA Arts Instructor will lead a themed art project for the group\, followed by a body movement & mindfulness session that ties into the theme.   We look forward to sharing the photos from each week with our community so you can enjoy and appreciate the difference creativity can make in the lives of  participants. \nTo find out more\, and view photos of our program please click here!
