DESCRIPTION:THE NEST! An after school drop-in space for ages 10+ \nPlease check back for the next session registration information! \nWhat is the Nest?  A space to relax and create in our sunny studio at the Elora Centre for the Arts! Just bring YOU and any projects you’re working on\, non-digital games\, homework\, water bottle and snack if you wish. This is an open flow\, gender diverse space for gently guided creativity and gathering with friends. \nThis is a safe student space for student led projects guided by an ECFTA Arts Facilitator. \n \n \nEach week\, we will provide tea\, a snack. a limited variety of materials each week and engagement with ECFTA Arts Facilitators.  Everyone welcome! \n\nStudents will be asked to sign in and out independently.  \nParents are not required to accompany their children.\nThis is a program to encourage independence.  It is the responsibility of each family to ensure that their child arrives safely.  If parents would like confirmation of arrival\, please instruct your child to use our landline or their own cell phone to check in.\nPlease note\, electronic devices will not be allowed once the program starts.\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

We welcome adults and caregivers from Wellington County and the surrounding areas to our weekly program\, led by ECFTA Arts Educators and Mindfulness Coach. \nJoin us for a guided 2-hour workshop designed to support adults of all abilities. Each session\, we will embrace diversity and friendship through explorations in art making\, movement\, mindfulness and music. Every week is as unique as each of our participants!  \nOUR SPACE Our bright and cheerful ECFTA classroom is wheelchair accessible and accommodates up to 14 participants\, with accompanying support workers and volunteers. \n Supportive Arts is offered at a subsidized rate\, thanks to the Centre Wellington 100 Women Who Care and our Spring Fundraising Gala! \n \nREFUNDS please note\, there is no refund for missed classes. SUMMARY:Free Shuttle Bus on Weekends around Elora & Fergus (bus stop at the Arts Centre!!)
DESCRIPTION:Every Saturday and Sunday from May 18 – September 8th from 11AM – 5PM!   \nYou can hop on / hop off the free shuttle that runs throughout Elora and Fergus!  Park your car and ride the shuttle to all of the points of interest – and it’s FREE!  Check out the map graphic below for the stops and times! A round trip would take an hour\, but make a day of it and plan a day of it!  NEW bus stop at the front doors of the Elora Centre for the Arts! \n \n \n  \nMake sure you get off at the NEW BUS STOP located at the FRONT DOORS OF THE ARTS CENTRE!  Don’t forget we have a picnic area and outdoor art pathway to visit\, as well as our gallery\, artisan shop and events! \n  \nThe Elora and Fergus Downtown Shuttle offers a round-trip service every hour\, on the hour from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the summer months. Artists will be guided in how to create the atmospheric qualities of light in Claude Monet’s 1903 painting The Houses of Parliament. Join us for this bite-sized workshop designed to inspire your journey into impressionistic oil painting! \n \nRick will share techniques on composition\, contrast\, depth\, and guide you through the development of precise values. Using a limited palette of warm and cool primary colours\, artists will learn colour-mixing skills to develop their own paintings with depth and contrast. Great for all skill levels. \n$15 kit fee is payable in cash to the instructor at the start of class. \nKit fee includes oil paint\, odourless solvent\, reference image\, brushes etc \nStudents are asked to provide their choice of canvas\, any level.
