DESCRIPTION:THE NEST! An after school drop-in space for ages 10+ \nPlease check back for the next session registration information! \nWhat is the Nest?  A space to relax and create in our sunny studio at the Elora Centre for the Arts! Just bring YOU and any projects you’re working on\, non-digital games\, homework\, water bottle and snack if you wish. This is an open flow\, gender diverse space for gently guided creativity and gathering with friends. \nThis is a safe student space for student led projects guided by an ECFTA Arts Facilitator. \n \n \nEach week\, we will provide tea\, a snack. a limited variety of materials each week and engagement with ECFTA Arts Facilitators.  Everyone welcome! \n\nStudents will be asked to sign in and out independently.  \nParents are not required to accompany their children.\nThis is a program to encourage independence.  It is the responsibility of each family to ensure that their child arrives safely.  If parents would like confirmation of arrival\, please instruct your child to use our landline or their own cell phone to check in.\nPlease note\, electronic devices will not be allowed once the program starts.\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

We welcome adults and caregivers from Wellington County and the surrounding areas to our weekly program\, led by ECFTA Arts Educators and Mindfulness Coach. \nJoin us for a guided 2-hour workshop designed to support adults of all abilities. Each session\, we will embrace diversity and friendship through explorations in art making\, movement\, mindfulness and music. Every week is as unique as each of our participants!  \nOUR SPACE Our bright and cheerful ECFTA classroom is wheelchair accessible and accommodates up to 14 participants\, with accompanying support workers and volunteers. \n Supportive Arts is offered at a subsidized rate\, thanks to the Centre Wellington 100 Women Who Care and our Spring Fundraising Gala! \n \nREFUNDS please note\, there is no refund for missed classes. DESCRIPTION:SPRING AWAKENING!  |  PA Day for Kids! \nMonday\, April 8\, 2024  |  9 am – 4 pm \nPA Day camp has been changed to Monday April 8\, to align with UGDSB PA Day schedule.  Please contact programming@ecfta.ca if you have registered and would like a refund for the Friday\, April 19 PA Day. \nIf you have registered already for April 19\, your spot is secure. Please join  us on Monday the 8th! \nAges 4-12  |  Max 36 \n$70 no hst \n1 spot left! Please email programming@ecfta.ca for a spot. \nApril SHOWERS bring May FLOWERS in this creative-play-day featuring expressive watercolour painting and paper. Let’s spread our arms wide and welcome April\, learn about the solar eclipse and let our creativity shine in our cheery Art Classroom and Maker Space! \nThis school year\, we have expanded our PA Day program to accommodate 36 young artists! We will be dividing our PA Day kids into 2 groups (ages 4-6 and 7-12) and working in both our cheery Art Classroom and the sunny Sparrow’s Nest Maker Space . \nLed by ECFTA Art Educators Alexa Collette and Stephanie Lines-Toohill. Our PD days are a balance of guided art instruction & learning in our art classroom\, and open-creative exploration in our maker space. Along with outdoor fresh air and play during breaks\, as always! \n \n\nAbout the Instructors \nAlexa Collette recently graduated from the BA program at the University of Guelph and has been facilitating workshops and camp experiences for the past few years and loving every minute of it! Alexa is a painter\, drawer\, loves creating murals\, and collaborating with the community. She is excited to create a space for art-making and exploration at the Elora Centre for the Arts! \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nStephanie Lines-Toohill brings her magical mix of compassion\, creativity\, and mindfulness to everything she does. She reminds us to pause and find wonder in unexpected places. She helps us let go of our worries and to be brave. Steph also runs Sparrow’s Nest Makerspace\, a collaborative community space of connection. You might find her on a forest walk where she finds calming inspiration and beautiful found objects. Stephanie has been leading youth art groups and community art opportunities for over 15 years. She champions the process of each artist as a curious explorer! \n\nTo ensure that your child is ready for a full day of art making and fun! \n\nA healthy mid-morning snack and lunch\nRefillable water bottle\nDress for the weather and for getting messy\n\n\n \nIF YOU CANCEL \nCancellations up to 14 days prior to start date will receive a full refund less a $25 administrative fee. No refund of fees will apply to cancellations within 14 days of start date\, Registration fees may however be credited to an alternate course/workshop. \nIF WE CANCEL \nTo help ensure the course you’re interested in runs\, we suggest you register no less than two weeks in advance.  In the event of insufficient registrations ECFTA reserves the right to cancel courses/ workshops\, & you would be eligible for a full refund of fees\, or credit can be applied to a future course/ workshop\, pending availability.
