Here’s what people are saying about our Supportive Arts program:
Over the course of two years, the Elora Centre For the Arts has provided many wonderful, inclusive opportunities for persons with developmental exceptionalities.
They have gone above and beyond with each of their lessons and have taken the time to instruct step by step instructions to adapt to my participants learning style. Not only has it been a welcoming environment but they have opened their doors to the entire community and beyond to join, share, laugh and most importantly, create wonderful art projects that bring so much joy to the participants and their family members. The energy and creativity each week is out of this world and my participants look forward to the program every Thursday. What strikes me uniquely about the program is the benefits both the artist and the participant receive while in program. It has been amazing to not only witness my participants learn from the variety of artists but to watch how much the participants have taught the artist about love, patience, acceptance, understanding and for Seeing the PERSON, Not The DisABILITY.

The participants at GrandABILTIES are very excited each week to participate in this wonderful ALL abilities program held at the Elora Centre for the Arts. Each class begins with an informative lesson about a particular artist and the projects they create are unique and artist-inspired. Everyone is learning a lot and feels proud to take home their creation to show others. The Music Therapy component that has been added at the end of our weekly sessions has been an extra bonus….and everyone leaves feeling good. The instructors and volunteers are amazing and new friendships are forming weekly among peers. This program is so much fun and we are very grateful to be a part of it. We look forward to seeing it continue to evolve and grow.
Much thanks to everyone that makes this program something special.
Sincerely, your friends from GrandABILITIES, Fergus
