Little Fishy Beginner Crochet

Want to learn how to crochet and understand basic crochet terms? Come make a fishy! It’s a cute little project that teaches the basics. This fish can be made from cotton and used for a washcloth, or wool and used for a potholder.

Instructor: Alisa McRonald in the Elora Textile Collective

~Kit fee payable to instructor $5~

Alisa is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Guelph. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in exhibitions including a community earth loom project at the Guelph Enabling Garden (2015), yarn bombing the Textile Museum of Canada in Toronto (2010) and two large-scale performances at HaNNa Gallery in Tokyo (2000 and 2003).  Her work has been featured in several publications including “By Hand: The Use of Craft in Contemporary Art” (2006, Princeton Architectural).

Alisa teaches and gives talks on a variety of textile related techniques and acts as a creative mentor to several agencies and art centres in her community.
