Embroidery is a versatile, fun and portable hobby. It is a wonderful addition to your hand-made crafts OR you can jazz up items in your home or closet. In this class we will learn and practice a variety of basic stitches to get you started!

Alisa is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Guelph. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in exhibitions including a community earth loom project at the Guelph Enabling Garden (2015), yarn bombing the Textile Museum of Canada in Toronto (2010) and two large-scale performances at HaNNa Gallery in Tokyo (2000 and 2003). Her work has been featured in several publications including “By Hand: The Use of Craft in Contemporary Art” (2006, Princeton Architectural).
Alisa teaches and gives talks on a variety of textile related techniques and acts as a creative mentor to several agencies and art centres in her community.
