Art of the Bizarre: 4 Day Summer Camp

Tuesday August 4 – Friday August 7, 2020  |  9AM – 4PM

Join us for a short week of bizzaro hands-on activities and extreme art-making!  Weird and wacky projects include Doll Head Planters, Frankenstuffies and Radioactive-Green Cat Scultpures!  A camp inspired by Op Art, Dada and contemporary Surrealist insanity!  Led by artist and ECFTA Arts Educator Natalie McDonald and our summer camp staff.

Ages 5 – 11

$200 per camper

About the Instructor

Natalie McDonald is an artist currently living and working in Fergus, Ontario. She studied at SDVA Georgian College in Barrie, ON and NSCAD University in Halifax, NS to complete her BFA degree, and more recently the University of Calgary for her MFA degree. Currently McDonald is an Instructor at the Dundas Valley School of Art and Education Coordinator for the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery.

As a representational painter and mixed media artist, Natalie creates work focused on the concept of time, memory and transformation. Often inspired by her own past experiences she creates experiences that parallel others memories and creates a space for remembrance and contemplation.
