A Room of our own! July 2nd/2009 By member Brianna Hastie. A lot has happened with our YAEC group. Including our own room located in the centre! This room is open for new members to come and check out, however it will be undergoing some "construction" to make it our own. Here are some things the council has taken a vote on to get things going. Our choosen paint colour will be a lovely, solid, neutral colour to accent the artwork that will be put on display. In terms of set up: There will be a kitchen area set up in the Northwest corner, a common/meeting area set up in the middle of the room, and a supervisors desk set up in the Southeast corner of the room. Also, along the North and East walls there will be folding desks so anyone can work on projects that might need to be finished. There will also be designated walls for each arts disipline. Such as, a wall for music some of our members have written or simply recommend, visual art work members have created and a wall designated to upcoming YAEC and Centre events. All this and much more will be coming at you very fast. So come on out and see what we have done. We would love to have you!
